Freestyle dynamic yoga.

Sessions include:

  • The principles of spine and physical movement

  • Healthy breathing and techniques to improve concentration
  • Co-ordinating breath and movement and the magic of vinyasa

  • A weekly moment of peace and stillness

A slow meditative style of yoga with seated postures held for several minutes enabling muscular tension to release and then work deeper into the connective tissue. A great complementary practice to accompany the more dynamic Hatha style of yoga.

A traditonal style of yoga, which invigorates the body and calms the mind, bringing you to a place of balance and harmony.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Prevention of Falls Classes

These classes are part of the Tai Chi for Health Programme and are a modification of the traditional Sun style of Tai Chi.

The Tai Chi for Arthritis programme can help to:

  • improve flexibility and muscle strength
  • ease pain and stiffness
  • improve balance and decrease the risk of falls
  • improve physical function and mobility
  • improve posture

Tai Chi for Arthritis classes are suitable for:

  • those with arthritis and other medical conditions
  • anyone wanting to improve balance and co-ordination
  • those wanting to maintain or improve mobility
  • those with poor posture
  • as Tai Chi for Arthritis can be practised in sitting as well as standing, almost anyone, of any physical condition, can begin and continue to progress regardless of age.

Beginners class suitable for absolute beginners to Pilates or for those who have not done it for a few years. whiteClasses run by a Physiotherapist with APPI pilates certification.
